In 'Tales from here and there about this and that', an article was posted recently concerning the British Lake District and reference was made to Sherpa's walking tour of the area. The Lake district is famous for its connection to the poet William Wordsworth and while looking at other literary connections with areas of outstanding natural beauty I realised that Sherpa have covered at least another two in their 'Inn to Inn' tours; Dorset (UK) with its connection to the author Thomas Hardy and Mark Twain's famous description of his tour of Germany's Schwartzwald (Black Forest). The tours are described in Sherpa's free brochure

. It is packed full of stimulating tours, so I am sure that there are many more connections to be found by walkers looking for activity holidays with that extra special interest.
