Guaranteed Adventure
Most cyclists in the US will probably already know the
Adventure Cycling Association. With 41,100 members, they have been producing bicycling maps of North America since the 70s. They have developed a national network of bicycle touring routes and organized trips.
Non-US cyclists can use this resource to plan major tours, always assuming that they can get into the country in the first place that is! I will post information on South America and Canada as alternatives.
Any US cyclists planning a tour in Europe would do well to take a look at the Bent Miles On-line magazine; useful links, particularly covering Germany and Austria, interesting articles/trip diaries and a friendly message board.
As the editor says 'We, at Bent Miles have a love for biking, camaraderie, and writing. - And it shows.
