The Manirimdu Festival, Nepal

Some treks are so inviting that you just long to be there. Take the
Manirimdu Festival Trek
. The festival is being held at Tengboche Monastery 28 - 30 October 2004 and is a masked dance drama. Comprising 14 seperate scenes it is an offering to various holy figures. Through their dancing, the priests protect, purify, and pray for good fortune and longevity on behalf of the multitudes.

The trek is being organised by Asian Trekking who specialise in treks, expeditions and cultural exploration in the Kingdom of Nepal, as well as in Sikkim, Bhutan and Tibet. Their site is full of great pictures and you can spend hours just browsing and wishing.
