Free Walk-O-Meter from Walkers

Walkers Snack Foods Ltd in the UK produce crisps and in an effort to encourage healthier lifestyles they have aligned themselves with a campaign to get people walking; specifically to slowly increase the number of steps that they take during a day.

In an offer open to residents of the UK, Channel Islands and Isle of Man, Walkers are giving away 1 million Walk-O-Meters; a device that is simply clipped to your belt or waistband and enables you to see how many steps you take.

Many people walk between 4,000 and 6,000 steps a day just doing their general daily activities but the advise is to increase this to 10,000 steps a day.
