Mama Margeret and friends. Mama Margaret (Margaret Cowan and friends) organize Italian cooking, wine and walking tours. Their tours run in Piedmont, Cinque Terre, Emilia-Romagna, Tuscany and Umbria, a number of which take in the famous Alba Truffle Festival.
The Alba White Truffle National Festival is currently in full swing and events run until 7 November 2004. The Truffle Bacchanale on Saturday is a celebration of medieval traditions with food and wine tastings and traditional music groups. Historical monuments in Alba will be floodlit.
