UCI World Championships Calendar
A decision announced last week by the UCI (International Cycle Union), cycling's international governing body, means Fort William in the Scottish highlands, has won its bid to host the Mountain Bike World Championships during September 2007.
The Championships will form part of a terrific series of events for the Scottish Highlands in Scotland's Year of Highland Culture and will be the last major mountain bike cross country competition before the Bejing Olympics in 2008
Next year the Mountain Bike World Championships will be held in Livigno, Italy and in 2006 Rotorua, New Zealand. Refer to the UCI Calander.
