Unusual Hotels Of The World is a new online guide for adventurous travellers with a desire to stay somewhere a little bit different, actually, quite a lot different.
The site features some of the world's most unusual hotels which attract guests with an open mind, a zest for life and I guess a good sense of humour. Castles, lighthouses, prisons and palaces might be considered the more conventional of the offerings, which also include underground, underwater and tree dwellings!
Founded by friends Simon Penn and Steve Dobson, over a lunchtime beer, the site has evolved to present over 100 properties covering 25 different zany and unexpected categories hand selected to their stringent criteria.
