A Thousand Years of Turkish Art

Next week, British fine art enthusiasts will have the chance to see various Turkish artworks at the Royal Academy of Art in London.

The exhibition, Turks: Journey of a Thousand Years opens at the Royal Academy on 22 January, 2005 and runs until the end of March.

One of the curators of the exhibition, Nazan Ölçer, stated that only Ottoman Arts were recognized in the west and added that this exhibition would show the incredible civilization formed by Turks during the ages in Middle Asia.
