The Everest Peace Project are organizing a Kilimanjaro Climb for PeaceThrough the example of Friendship and International Cooperation - Climb for Peace is promoting a Global Community of Peace, Teamwork, and Cultural Understanding. From the top of some of the highest places in the world, they are sending a message of peace to the rest of the globe- especially to its most precious resource: children.
It looks as if there are still a few places available on the climb being led by Lance Trumbull for July 15th - 24th 2005.Mt. Kilimanjaro is called the summit of Africa and is one of the most beautiful places on earth. Kilimanjaro is a non technical mountain that can be climbed by anyone in decent condition with an adventurous spirit;
this is a non-technical climb and no technical mountaineering experience is necessary but it is preferred that all climbers have previous trekking and at least some mountain experience.
