The highlight of the British and many would say the World's gardening year, the
Chelsea Flower Show 2005 occurs this year on 24-28 May.
Although the Royal Horticultural Society has never prescribed a particular theme for the show, it is recognised as a trend setter for the gardening world, in much the same way as Paris Fashion Week is scrutinised by the world of fashion.
Garden designers at this year's Chelsea Flower Show will highlight the way that
gardens can lead to a healthier, greener and more wildlife friendly lifestyle, while still being attractive and functional.
The
Microsoft SoGo Garden has been conceived as a micro office, thanks to wireless connectivity and a custom-built work pod and the
Merrill Lynch Garden is also designed to be a workplace that is an extension of a home; their idea is an office with a glass front which makes a seamless connection with the garden.
