The Final Push

G8 Ministers will be arriving in Scotland on Wednesday 6th July. As a final reminder of what they must do to make poverty history, The Final Push will take place in Murrayfield the same evening, signalling the end of the Long Walk To Justice and the beginning of the G8 Summit.

Hosted by Lenny Henry and Peter Kay, the event includes Annie Lennox, Snow Patrol, Travis, The Sugababes, Ronan Keating, Beverly Knight, The Corrs, Natasha Bedingfield, Proclaimers, Texas, Youssou N'Dour, McFly, Bob Geldof, Midge Ure and African artists from Peter Gabriel's WOMAD plus a line up of very special speakers.

Tickets have already been allocated and if you were lucky enough to get one, you can take advantage of some great transport offers (some free) advertised on the www.live8live.com site.

If you cannot be there, visit the Live8 site and sign up to the LIVE 8 list; The world's largest ever text petition, you can also use the G8 Gallery Upload to send your image or text it to (+)44 7774 777 444.

It has also been announced that on Wednesday 6 July at 6.30pm, UN Secretary General Kofi Annan will deliver a keynote address at a debate entitled 'Global Poverty: A Challenge to the G8' being held at St Paul's Cathedral, London; he will then travel on to Gleneagles for the G8 summit. The St Paul's event is open to the public, and admission is free and on a first come, first served basis. Doors open at 6pm.
