You could watch others party and even if you were stuck at your keyboard, you could enjoy the Bourbon Street atmosphere delivered live to the corner of your monitor. It is ironic that after posting about the Danube flooding, New Orleans should be hit by hurricane Katrina and left submerged.
Gov. Kathleen Blanco vowed: "We will recover. We are a strong people." However, 90% of New Orleans is below water and there is concern that parts of the 287-year-old city have been rendered uninhabitable. Some authorities estimate that it could take at least 5 years for life to return to normal. We wish the Krewe and their city well but fear that it will be a while before, once more,
the good times roll.
