The next time that your over in Watergate Bay and there's no surf, get over to the UK's
Cornish annex of the National Maritime Museum in Falmouth.
Housed in an award winning building on the Falmouth harbour-side, the
National Maritime Museum Cornwall transports you into the world of small boats and Cornish maritime history. It is worth a visit at any time but through to 8 January 2006, they are running
the Surf's Up exhibition which traces the history of surfing in the UK. See vintage surfboards, cool designs, 80 year-old bellyboards, the first surf mags and tourist brochures, film and competition posters.
Even the evolution of the wet suit from a nifty knitted number!
