24hours Mozart is a global television event to celebrate Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's 250th birthday. With an expected audience of millions in over 30 countries around the world, the 24-hour marathon will be the media highlight of the Mozart Year 2006.
There will be live broadcasts from, amongst other cities, Vienna, Salzburg, Berlin, Prague and Bejing, starting at 08:00 hours (CET) on Friday, January 27th, 2006. The programme is to be a mixture of transmissions from famous concert venues in Europe, Japan and China, outstanding pre-produced concert recordings, documentaries, music features, short programmes, clips and more, resulting in a 24 hours Mozart bonanza.
