The Nokia Isle of Wight Festival 2006 will take place over the weekend of Friday 9 June - Sunday 11 June, 2006 at Seaclose Park, Isle Of Wight, UK.
Back in 1970, The Isle of Wight Festival (
Britain's Woodstock) gave birth to the Jimmy Hendrix legend and its reputation is such that tickets are bought without knowing who will be performing.
This year, the Prodigy will headline the opening night and the festival Line-Up currently confirmed is:

Primal Scream changed the face of music and are set to get the island rocking. Performing live is what Primal Scream do best and they will surely live up to their reputation at this year's Isle of Wight Festival , as the penultimate act on Saturday; the headline act is yet to be confirmed but if you look at rest of the line-up, it has to be a major presence to fill the slot!
Tickets for the festival are now on sale but there is a strict limit of six tickets per household and they tend to sell out fast.
