The
Masters Of Speed are in the middle of a new attempt to push the 500m sailing speed record to 50 Knots. The attempt at The Canal, Saintes Maries, France, runs until April 30th, 2006.
MOS founder member, Finian Maynard holds the World Record of 48.70 knots, set at the Canal on 10th April last year.
Of course, there are other groups continuing to pursue the same quest;
Weymouth Speed Week 2006 has been scheduled for 2nd - 8th October.
