Wetass is a term coined by Tim Zimmermann to describe people that get out and have fun, usually but not necessarily on water, though inevitably ending up with a wet ass. The logic was simple, those that do, get wet and the others are Dryassers; Wetass is a great word for a great lifestyle.
It was a logic that inspired Tim's blog, The Wetass Chronicles, which built a cult following for its daily mix of humour, images and video. Sadly, last month Tim announced that after two-and-a-half years, he was making his last post and heading for the surf.
No one can replace Tim Zimmermann and his Wetass Chronicles but here at the Activity Holidays Guide, we share Tim's desire to chronicle adventures and profile adventurers. Our blogs will continue to use the term Wetass, particularly
this blog which often carries posts of interest to sailors, together with
Beyond Boarders and
The Beach, which regularly feature surfing.
We will do our best to provide forums for Wetassers, so any of you Wetassers out there that have news, funny incidents, images or video clips that you want to share with the world, send them in to us.Finally, if
