With the wind howling and the rain is pelting down at Bells beach, organizers of the RipCurl Pro opted to pull the pin early on the last two heats of round 3 due to the savage conditions.
However, the day saw excellent action with competition favourites Bruce and Andy Irons (Haw), Kelly Slater (USA), Bobby Martinez (USA) and man of the moment, Taj Burrow (Aus), all through to round 4.
Other hot tip for the RipCurl Pro crown, Trent Munro (Aus) must wait until tomorrow and win his postponed round three heat against fellow Australian Michael Lowe to join them in an eagerly anticipated round 4.
