Kelly Slater wins again

In unstoppable form, Kelly Slater has made it two straight wins at the start of the 2006 ASP tour. He took the Rip Curl Pro at Australia's Bells Beach, equalling Tom Curren's record for having won 33 Foster's ASP Men's World Tour events, the most in pro surfing history.
Joel Parkinson in Final Rip Curl Pro 2006 photo by ASP digital photographer Karen Wilson Slater beat a tired Joel Parkinson (Aus), who had to surf four times throughout the day, Joel put in some great performances in amazing three metre (eight to 10 feet) waves but just ran out of steam in the final. That is not to take anything away from Kelly Slater's win, he is incredibly fit and used his competition experience to peak when he needed to, in the final, posting a 9.67.

You can relive one of the best finishes to a pro-surfing event in the history of the sport

Next stop Tahiti in two weeks time.
