Kirsty Jones kitesurfing record

An Activity Holidays Guide.com Kitesurf Report.

On May 13th, world wave champion kitesurfer Kirsty Jones from Wales UK, broke the kitesurfing world distance record by kitesurfing 140 miles, non stop, from Lanzarote to Morocco, in 9 hours.

Four days later, Frenchman, Manu Bertin quietly slipped into Pointe a Pitre, Guadaloupe having kitesurfed across the Atlantic from Gomera in the Canaries. So I guess that he now claims the record but it is not really comparing like with like because Kirsty achieved her result, standing all the way and using a production 12m Flexifoil Ion Kite with her custom made 'Waves' board.
