Recruitment of volunteers for the Beijing Summer Olympic Games and the Paralympic Games in 2008, begins on August 28, 2006.
It is estimated that around 70,000 and 30,000 volunteers will be needed for the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games, respectively. They are mainly being recruited from the universities in Beijing but Beijing residents, people of various ethnic groups from around China, compatriots from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, overseas Chinese and foreign citizens are also welcome to apply.
Additionally, Beijing Olympic Broadcasting Co., Ltd (BOB) is seeking to fill a variety of professional positions including a number of IT posts.
