The finals of the Quicksilver Pro France are being played out right now.
Kelly Slater has stormed through to the semi's and is looking at extending his world ranking lead after nearest rival Taj Burrow crashed out in the third round.
Andy Irons, currently third in the ASP world rankings, twice came from behind in his quarter-final against Australian Tom Whitaker, scoring a huge 8.17 with just 3 minutes of the contest remaining.
Also going strong are Australians Mick Fanning, who blasted his way to the semi's and fellow Australian Joel Parkinson who has scored a 9.0 in his quarter-final with Fredrick Patacchia (Haw), leaving Fred desperatly trying to put together a 16.34 combo to salvage the heat but as I write Joel has just scored a perfect 10! So it is a Slater, Irons, Fanning and Parkinson semi-final shoot-out.
