Today I found a pearl, Expedition 360, which is an attempt at one of the last great firsts for true circumnavigation: to circle the globe using only human power: bikes, pedal boat, rollerblades, kayaks, swimming and walking; no motors or sails. More specifically, I chanced upon the
expedition360 vlog. Brilliant!
Setting off from the Greenwich Meridian, UK, in July, 1994, three quarters of the journey [33,000 miles] has so far been completed by Englishman Jason Lewis and the x360 team. They are currently in Kathmandu and as Jason said in his last post "It's all downhill from here to Greenwich." However, I reckon they will be on the road for a few more years, so plenty of vlogs still to come. Did I mention how good the vlogs are; uploaded on-site via a satellite modem.
Brilliant!
