Following last Sunday's disastrous start to the Velux 5 Oceans, which saw the majority of the fleet returning to shore, next Sunday, 29 October, 2006 sees the beginning of the
Route du Rhum, solo trans-Atlantic race.
The prestigious Route du Rhum takes place every four years; starting in Saint-Malo, France and finishing in Guadeloupe.
