Tomorrow the Foster's ASP Men's World Tour begins its penultimate event for 2006, the Nova Schin Festival presented by Billabong, which is being held at Imbituba, Brazil. Imbituba has a more consistent break than Florianopolis, an hour to the north, which has been the event base in previous years. It offers both left and right breaking waves.
Although the 2006 crown has already been claimed by Kelly Slater (USA), the event is the focus of media attention as Slater looks to take outright, the record for the most tour victories; which he currently shares with surf legend, Tom Curren (USA), 33 wins.
