The route for the
2007 Tour de France has been announced and confirms that the race will begin in London, UK on July 7 and finish on July 29 in the French capital, Paris. Circumscribing a large, clockwise circle, the 20 tour stages take in Belgium after the two English stages, before heading down to Champagne country, then on to the Chablis region and the Côte d'Or.
Marseille in the south of France, marks the half-way point on the tour, which puts in a sprint along the Mediterranean coast, before taking on the Massif Central and the Pyrenees. For those left standing, the race will then head north to Paris, via the beautiful roads through La Dordogne.
