Just 5 months after Carnaval, Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) will be hosting the
2007 Pan American Games, July 13 through July 29, 2007.
The Pan American games include the Olympic Program sports plus other popular sports that are not part of the Olympics. Conducted every four years and always one year before the Olympic Games, this years event is expected to involve 5,500 athletes from 42 countries, competing in 28 different sports.
