SaiGon Hotpot is a volunteer group, run by university and college students in Ho Chi Minh City, that is offering free travel guide services to foreign visitors to the city.
"Our objective is to meet foreigners and introduce Vietnamese culture, history and culinary arts to them," said SaiGon Hotpot manager, Nguyen Thi Phuong Linh, "We also want to do our part to promote Vietnamese tourism and to learn other languages from foreign tourists."
Members of the group can speak many languages, including English, French, Japanese and Chinese and are hoping that their success will encourage the establishment of more SaiGon Hotpots throughout Vietnam, helping to bring the image of a beautiful, peaceful, friendly, and hospitable country to the world.
