A
band from Lancashire, UK, has beaten musicians from around the world to win a prestigious songwriting contest, the annual international
John Lennon Songwriting Contest.
The band called 'Outsider' were the overall winners of the pop category, with their song 'Understanding' and have won a $5,000 publishing contract with EMI and a run of 1,000 CDs. They have also been nominated for the Los Angeles Music Awards. Listen out for them.
