37 teams of four, each including at least one woman, have confirmed that they will be competing in the first
Raid Canéo Nature. The adventure race, conveniently placed between the Tour de France and the Olympic games, will be setting off from the Place d'Armes in Versailles on July 28, 2008 and finishing in Marseilles on August 8.
The teams will begin the 1100 km race on horseback and then over the following 11 days, race on foot, on horseback, by kayak, by rollerblade and by mountain bike, crossing mountains and forests, canals, streams and rivers, not forgetting the sea, and also taking in a little canyoning, caving and abseiling.
