The
Sapporo Snow Festival runs for seven days each February and attracts about two million visitors from both Japan and the rest of the world. This years festival is coming to a close and the hundreds of beautiful snow statues and ice sculptures, for which the festival is famous, will be destroyed on safety grounds.
