Something of special interest to watercolor artists; the great watercolorist Don Andrews is conducting a figure painting workshop in Norway July 15-19.(email: aewalter@online.no)
Don is the author of the book, "Interpreting the Figure in Watercolor," and the video "Making Watercolor Glow" . Renowned for mixing color directly on the paper and with a unique color sense, his paintings have received numerous awards in USA watercolor competitions, including three awards from the American Watercolor Society. He maintains a hectic teaching schedule but most of his workshops are in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, so the Norway workshop is a rare opportunity.

Last month, in Geeve’s miscellany, I mentioned the 'Picasso Ingres' exhibition being held at Musée Picasso, in Paris. The exhibition continues for another month until June 17, 2004 and is an opportunity to see the common ground shared by two great influences on 19th and 20th century art. You can also recognise the great admiration that Picasso had for Ingress and the influence that Ingres had on his work. Read a very nice review posted in deviantART news.
