At least one English soccer team, either Liverpool or Chelsea, is guaranteed a place in the final of the European Champions League, since they are drawn against each other in the semifinals. Because Manchester United plays AC Milan in the other semifinal, there is a realistic chance of an all British final.
However, Greek police are already warning fans to stay away from the final in Athens on 23 May, 2007, if they do not have tickets; there will be massive security, on a scale last seen at the 2004 Olympics. The good news for those without tickets is that the match will be televised live and you can bet that the atmosphere around the UK will be as electric as in the stadium.
