Jade Buddha 

The world’s largest jade statue of the Buddha is on a touring exhibition of Vietnam until May, 2009. It then travels to Australia at the start of a world tour, taking in Indonesia, the US and several other countries before returning to its permanent home. the Mahabodhi Stupa of the Atisha Center, Australia.

Carved from an 18-ton Nephrite jade boulder that was found in Canada in 2000 and considered to be the world's largest piece of pure gemstone-quality jade, the statue, which is called The Jade Buddha for Universal Peace is 3.5m high and weighs 4.65 tons.

Keeping with the sculpture theme, Ice Carving Secrets is a blog about making ice sculptures, in which the owner, Dawson List, shares his extensive knowledge and ice carving designs.
